Rooms are especially scarce and patrons will have to pay much more at the three Las Vegas hotels where these shows are being held. Excalibur, Hooters and the Stratosphere are buzzing with convention activity starting today and the shows convention rush looks to continue until Sunday.
Officials from Hudson Securities said they were happy that Las Vegas hotels were recovering from the financial slump. However, since the increased tariff is chiefly due to conventions, the low end Las Vegas hotels are still hurting.
